La cerámica de época moderna procedente del Teatro Greco de Villa Adriana. Una cuestión metodológica

Abstract

Durante las excavaciones de Teatro Greco de Villa Adriana (2004) se documentó un fragmento cerámico de temática antropomórfica, profusamente decorado. La pieza, constituyó a tenor de sus características técnicas y contextuales un difícil tema de interpretación desde los primeros compases de su estudio. Sin embargo, tras realizar un análisis contextual y tipológico del fragmento hemos considerado necesario presentar ante la comunidad científica dicha pieza singular, la cual pudiera corresponderse con la primera evidencia material de producciones de cerámica bucarina recuperada en el registro arqueológico de Villa Adriana, un tipo cerámico muy apreciado por las clases acomodadas de los ss. XVII- XVIII caracterizado por imitar modelos clásicos.

During the excavations of Villa Adriana Greek Theatre (2004) a profusely decorated anthropomorphic ceramic fragment was documented. The piece, formed with its technical and contextual characteristics, posed a difficult matter of interpretation since the first measurements in its study. However, after carrying out contextual and typological analysis of the fragment, we have decided it is necessary to present said piece before the scientific community, which could correspond to the first material evidence of bucarina pottery production recovered in the archaeological record of Villa Adriana, a ceramic type highly appreciated by the wealthy classes of the ss. XVII- XVIII characterized by imitating classic models.
