Liderazgo político y gobernanza en un mundo globalizado

Abstract

Este capítulo se propone responder la siguiente pregunta, que aparece como una de las cuestiones políticas centrales en el presente mundo globalizado: ¿cómo es posible liderar localmente, dentro del contexto del Estado-nación, en las condiciones impuestas por la globalización y los procesos de gobernanza? El texto comienza con una breve caracterización del momento político reciente, así como con la definición del concepto gobernanza. En el segundo epígrafe se expone un enfoque interaccionista-constructivista para estudiar el liderazgo político y sus estilos. El tercer epígrafe analiza el contexto que impone la globalización para el liderazgo político y la gobernanza. El capítulo finaliza con unas reflexiones sobre cómo liderar en el presente mundo.This chapter aims to answer the following question, which appears as one of the central political questions in the present globalized world: how is it possible to lead locally, within the context of the nation-state, in the conditions imposed by globalization and the processes of governance? The text begins with a brief characterization of the recent political moment, as well as with the definition of the concept of governance. The second section presents an interactionist-constructivist approach to studying political leadership and its styles. The third section analyzes the context that globalization imposes on political leadership and governance. The chapter ends with some reflections on how to lead in the present world.
