Abstract
El terremoto de 2010 en Chile, entre otros, afectó gravemente el patrimonio
arquitectónico construido en tierra, en particular el de la VI Región. En
esta zona se ubicó la primera población rural después de fundado el país,
así lo verifican los antecedentes históricos, y conserva los referentes de la
cultura del Valle de Colchagua. Esta es un área rica y fértil para el desarrollo
agrícola, vitivinícola y agroexportador, y cuyo carácter ha contribuido a la
promoción de sus productos.
Mediante la observación de campo, directa y especializada, en el territorio
afectado; se describen los principales daños producidos y se definen un conjunto
de desafíos para mejorar el tratamiento, desde las políticas públicas,
para asumir su reconstrucción.
The 2010 earthquake in Chile, among others, critically affected the architectural heritage built with mud, particularly in VI Region. In this area stood the first rural population after the country was founded, so confirms the historical evidence, and it also preserves cultural references of the Colchagua Valley. This is a rich and fertile area for agricultural development, wine and agricultural exportation, and whose character has contributed to the promotion of its products. Through direct and specialized field observation in the affected territory, the main damages are described and a set of challenges in order to improve the management to undertake its reconstruction, from public policy point of view, are defined.
