Abstract
The practice of flight-sharing goes back a long way. It has traditionally been allowed both in the European Union and the United States. Recently, digital platforms that
connect pilots and passengers have added it to the methods of communication previously used by pilots. This is a cutting-edge topic and authorities in the USA and the EU have reacted totally differently. We analyze here the legal issues related to this new business model under the European legal framework.
