Abstract

---------------------------------------------------------------------In this paper we present a ensemble of five pottery fragments/pieces, from the city of Córdoba, whose connection/link is the decorative motif represented on them: the lion. The islamic iconography, so rarely inclined to use zoomorphic or anthropomorphic alegories, makes these pieces very singular and worth of a detailed study, apart from that this analysis must be put forward along with the other materials recovered in the same archaeological context. At the same time, we study another piece, from the Seville Archaeological Museum, whose exceptional character has atracted our attention.
