El Paisaje Salinero de Doñana. Las instalaciones salineras de las Marismillas: San Isidoro, San Rafael y San Diego.

Abstract

El dinamismo geomorfológico de las marismas del Guadalquivir es uno de los factores que permite explicar su proceso de ocupación y métodos de aprovechamiento empleados por los pueblos y culturas que decidieron asentarse en sus orillas a lo largo de la historia. La sal, como producto de estas actividades, pronto se convertiría en el elemento estrella adaptándose continuamente, desde la prehistoria hasta finales de siglo XX, al cambiante paisaje marismeño. De hecho, como bien atestiguan las instalaciones de San Isidoro, San Rafael y San Diego, la actividad se mantuvo hasta hace apenas cuarenta años gracias al determinante valor socioeconómico para sus gentes. En la actualidad el proceso de abandono y degradación amenaza con poner fin a uno de los patrimonios que mejor explican lo que representa y significa Doñana. No obstante, propuestas como las de Zona Patrimonial, apuntan hacia una alternativa para la conservación y gestión del citado patrimonio.The geomorphological dynamism of the Guadalquivir marshes is one of the factors that explains the occupation process and methods of exploitation used by people and cultures who decided to settle in these shores throughout history. Soon salt became a key element that would continuously adapt to the changing marshy landscape, from prehistory to the end of the twentieth century. In fact, as the saltworks in the marshes of San Isidoro, San Rafael and San Diego prove, the activity was maintained until barely forty years ago thanks to the determining socioeconomic value that it represented for its inhabitants. Currently, the process of abandonment and degradation threatens to put an end to one of the cultural heritages that best explains what Doñana represents and means. However, some suggestions such as Zona Patrimonial (those territories that form a heritage complex: heritage area) are an alternative for the conservation and management of this heritage.
