Abstract
Partiendo del estudio del modelo de Tribunal del Jurado instaurado por el legislador español en 1995, el libro analiza la naturaleza y régimen jurídico del veredicto que dictarán los jueces no profesionales y, especialmente, realiza un profundo estudio sobre el artículo 52 de la Ley Orgánica del Tribunal del Jurado: la intervención de las partes litigantes y del juez en el documento que sirve de guía al jurado para dictar dicho veredicto, que recibe el nombre de "objeto del veredicto", la forma de redactar las preguntas al jurado y la prohibición de incluir conceptos jurídicos.

Drawing on an analysis of the jury trial model introduced by the Spanish legislature in 1995, the book explores the nature and legal framework of the verdict rendered by lay jurors. Particular attention is devoted to an in-depth examination of Article 52 of the Spanish Jury Trial Act, which regulates the participation of the parties and the trial judge in the preparation of the document that guides the jury in reaching its verdict—referred to as the ‘object of the verdict’—the formulation of questions submitted to the jury, and the prohibition against the inclusion of legal concepts
