"El diario de Gaia": un proyecto de intervención socioeducativa en tiempos de emergencia climática.

Abstract

Dada la situación de emergencia climática que estamos viviendo, nuestro mundo necesita de una ciudadanía concienciada sobre las consecuencias que están sufriendo los ecosistemas naturales y las sociedades a causa de este problema; pero, sobre todo, precisa de una ciudadanía proactiva en la toma de decisiones respecto al futuro que se quiere construir en común, y que garantice una vida digna a quienes nos suceden. El proyecto de intervención socioeducativa que aquí se presenta, por tanto, surge de este apremio por educar a las nuevas generaciones en términos de justicia climática, social e intergeneracional. Para hacer posible este cambio de paradigma, es imprescindible que, desde la infancia, se sitúe la idea del decrecimiento en el centro de nuestro sistema de valores. Así pues, esta propuesta socioeducativa se enfoca en intervenir con niños y niñas de entre 9 y 12 años de la ciudad de Sevilla, ya que, según la teoría piagetiana, en estas edades es cuando empiezan a comprender los problemas que ocurren en otras partes del mundo, a evaluar las consecuencias de sus acciones y a valorar la importancia de la temática de este proyecto. Por tanto, se pretende utilizar este potencial para educar al alumnado desde los parámetros del decrecimiento a través de una serie de actividades basadas en las “8 R” de Serge Latouche: Revaluar, Reconceptualizar, Reestructurar, Relocalizar, Redistribuir, Reducir, Reutilizar y Reciclar. Gracias a este proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, el grupo destinatario adquirirá las herramientas necesarias para cuestionar los hábitos que reproduce en su vida cotidiana y decidir de forma crítica sobre el mundo que quiere crear.

Given the climate emergency situation that we are experiencing, our world needs a citizenry that is aware of the consequences that natural ecosystems and societies are suffering as a result of this problem; but, above all, it requires a proactive citizenship in making decisions regarding the future that they want to build together, and that guarantees a dignified life for those who come after us. The socio-educational intervention project presented here, therefore, arises from this urgency to educate the new generations in terms of climate, social and intergenerational justice. To make this paradigm shift possible, it is essential that, from childhood, the idea of decrease be placed at the center of our value system. Thus, this socio-educational proposal focuses on intervening with boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12 in the city of Seville, since, according to Piagetian theory, it is at these ages that they begin to understand the problems that occur in other parts of the world. world, to evaluate the consequences of their actions and to assess the importance of the theme of this project. Therefore, this potential is meant to be used for educating students from the parameters of degrowth through a series of activities based on the "8 R" of Serge Latouche: Revalue, Reconceptualize, Restructure, Relocate, Redistribute, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Thanks to this teaching-learning process, the target group will acquire the necessary tools to question the habits that are reproduced in their daily lives and make critical decisions about the world they want.
