Entre la memoria y el deseo de olvido: las consecuencias del paso del tiempo en la obra de Mohamed el Morabet

Abstract

Este trabajo examina el motivo de la memoria en las novelas de Mohamed El Morabet. Destaca cómo los ámbitos de la memoria constituyen hilos conductores identificables en las tres novelas analizadas. Los silencios y las palabras que se utilizan para referirse a la memoria están directamente vinculados a las emociones y al lenguaje. El Morabet construye sus propios ámbitos de la memoria, y así, ciertos motivos literarios recurrentes —espacios, objetos, comida— se convierten en los elementos a los que se aferra la narración, dando forma literaria a la memoria como parte fundamental de la memoria individual del autor.This work examines the motif of memory in the novels of Mohamed El Morabet. It highlights how the realms of memory are identifiable threads running through the three novels analyzed. The silences and words applied to memory are directly linked to emotions and language. El Morabet constructs his own realms of memory, and thus certain recurring literary motifs—spaces, objects, food—become the elements to which the narrative clings, giving literary form to memory as a fundamental part of the author's individual memory.
