Aproximación al deporte universitario español, desde sus inicios hasta su organización actual = Approach to the spanish university sport, from its beginnings to its current organization

Abstract

En el presente artículo se ha pretendido acercarnos a los antecedentes de la práctica deportiva en las universidades españolas, entendida esta como competición, donde de forma no intencionada adquirió un protagonismo años después, reconocido por la implicación directa que tuvo en el restablecimiento de los juegos olímpicos. Como algunos autores apuntan en otros contextos, se identifica que el impulso de la práctica deportiva en las universidades españolas estuvo ligado al desarrollo industrial, social y cultural que iba surgiendo con la modernización de nuestro país, hasta que se produjo un retroceso fruto del conflicto bélico de 1936. A partir de ese momento sería el estado el que instrumentalizaría la práctica deportiva universitaria a través del Sindicato Español Universitario. Una continua inquietud ha estado presente en los responsables del deporte universitario en buscar la adecuada estructuración para las incipientes propuestas deportivas que iban surgiendo. También se ha pretendido señalar aquellos cambios que por significativos y por estar asociados a la regulación normativa que el contexto político y social establecía, ha marcado un desarrollo normativo peculiar en distintos momentos del pasado siglo XX y que ha ido condicionando su estructuración hasta llegar a nuestros días.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------In this article we have tried to approach the history of university sport in Spain, understood as a competition, where it unintentionally took on a role years later, recognized by the direct involvement he had in the restoration of the Olympic Games. As some authors point out in other contexts, it is identified that the advance of sports in Spanish universities was linked to industrial development, social and cultural that was emerging with the modernization of our country until, there was a fruit of war retreat 1936. From that moment would be the state that directed university sport through the SEU. A constant concern has been present in those leaders for university sport in finding the appropriate structure for the emerging sporting activities that arose. It has also sought to identify those changes for significant and be associated with the legislation that established political and social context, has marked a particular legislation development at various times of the twentieth century and has been conditioning their structure down to our days.
