Emigración y retorno de población venezolana: dos caras de un mismo fenómeno. Movilidad humana en tiempos de pandemia y pos-pandemia

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como propósito mostrar el cambio en los flujos migratorios ocurrido en algunos países de la región suramericana con respecto a la migración venezolana. Para ello se realizaron dos tipos de análisis; en primer lugar, uno documental sobre las medidas adoptadas en materia migratoria; y, en segundo lugar, entrevistas semiestructuradas a cincuenta y cinco venezolanos retornados desde siete países diferentes. Entre los principales resultados se evidencia que desde varios países de Suramérica existe una tendencia de retorno de migrantes venezolanos hacia su país. Este retorno se ha dado en dos modalidades el retorno voluntario asistido a través del Plan Vuelta a la Patria, y el retorno voluntario no asistido, siendo este segundo el de mayores proporciones.The purpose of this work is to show the change in migratory flows that occurred in some countries in the South American region with respect to Venezuelan migration. For this, two types of analysis were carried out; firstly, a documentary on the measures adopted in immigration matters; and, secondly, semi-structured interviews with fifty-five Venezuelans returning from seven different countries. Among the main results, it is evident that from several South American countries there is a tendency for Venezuelan migrants to return to their country. This return has occurred in two modalities: the assisted voluntary return through the Vuelta a la Patria Plan, and the unassisted voluntary return, the latter being the largest.
