LAS DEFENSORÍAS DEL PUEBLO ESPAÑOLAS FRENTE A LA CARTA SOCIAL EUROPEA.

Abstract

El presente estudio tiene como principal objetivo analizar la actividad de las Defensorías del Pueblo, tanto la nacional como las autonómicas, en relación con la Carta Social Europea. La pretensión del trabajo no es solo exponer la función de las Defensorías del Pueblo respecto de la garantía de los Derechos sociales, sino reivindicar la relevancia de su función en un momento donde las mismas tienden a eliminarse, debido a la crisis económica.------------------------------------------------------------------------------The main purpose of this study is to analyze the activity of the Ombudsmen, both the national and the regional, in relation to the European Social Charter. The aim of the work is not only to expose the role of Ombudsmen regarding the guarantee of Social rights but also to focus on the importance of their role at a time when they tend to be eliminated, due to the financial crisis.
