Abstract
Las Labradas is a petroglyph site located on the coast of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, along the imaginary line of the Tropic of Cancer, the latitudinal projection that marks the furthest point north the sun reaches during the summer solstice, a planetary line that also determines the transition of climatic zones and, in the case of Sinaloa, defined a physiographic province and a cultural area. These geographical characteristics, combined with the symbolic space defined by the petroglyphs, demonstrate the liminality of this archaeological site.
