La puerta del Palatium de Corduba

Abstract

En este artículo presentamos la nueva imagen que recientemente ha adquirido el palacio de Cercadilla en Córdoba, gracias al hallazgo del cierre y fachada del edificio, que constituye también el acceso principal al conjunto. Este nuevo hallazgo aporta además nuevos vínculos con la arquitectura tetrárquica, sobre todo en lo concerniente a la aplicación de la misma solución en edificios de la época ¿como es el caso de los principia de Diocleciano en Palmira o la Villa de Split- y con la arquitectura áulica bajoimperial.In this paper we present the new image that recently has acquired the palace of Cercadilla in Córodoba, thanks to the finding of the frontage of the building, that also constitutes the main access to the palace. This new finding gives in addition new relations to the tetrarchic architecture, mainly concerning to the application of the same solution in buildings of the time - as it is the case of the Diocletian's Principia of Palmira or the Villa ofe Split- and with the Late Roman aulic architecture.
