Abstract
In Mexico, companies dedicated to renewable energy generation have experienced significant opportunities in recent years. By aligning with the 2030 agenda, they have raised the reputation of the energy they produce. However, it is crucial to note that its positive impact has had implications for indigenous communities, who are affected by giving up their territories for the implementation of these projects. An example of this is wind energy companies that install large-scale wind turbines to carry out their initiatives. The objective of this chapter is to reflect on the violation of the human rights of these communities by displacing them from their territories, which constitutes a case of forced displacement, even when they are established in international locations.
