El crucero de la catedral de Córdoba fue una de las empresas constructivas más controvertidas del siglo XVI. De la necesidad cultual al prestigio, la historia de esta construcción, que se terminó ya en el siglo siguiente, tuvo un replanteamiento formal y sobre todo teórico y simbólico por influencia de un círculo de humanistas.
