La chumbi: elemento de identidad y continuidad en el diseño textil andino.

Abstract

Existe la necesidad de replantear los procesos creativos desde el conocimiento andino, buscando la riqueza del ser y del saber ancestral, alejándose del predominio actual del enfoque occidental del pensamiento, explorando en los fundamentos expresivos-creativos producto de complejas abstracciones de los componentes del diseño andino y observando estos lenguajes de formas y significados mediante el diseño conceptual, intelectual y expresivo del textil andino.

There is a need to rethink the creative processes from the Andean knowledge, seeking the richness of being and ancestral knowledge, moving away from the current predominance of the Western approach of thought, exploring the expressive-creative foundations product of complex abstractions of the components of Andean design, observing these languages of forms and meanings through the conceptual, intellectual and expressive design of the Andean textile.
